Schedule Appointments with Yourself


Many of us don’t have time for ourselves these days.  We let other urgent things crowd the ‘good intentions’ we have. Maybe you have a project at work or at home that keeps getting put on the back burner. Start by looking at your calendar for the week ahead. Then, block out times that you will exercise, meet that friend for coffee, or read a chapter of a book that could strengthen your personal development. Resist the urge to tell other people that you have an appointment with yourself because you do not have to defend or apologize for this. You can simply say, “I am not available at that time”.
